Job Description
An employer is seeking a full time remote Solutions Engineer to support their Air Force Digital Solutions Engineering practice. This role is a customer facing technical sales leader. This person spends a lot of time in front of Air Force customers, helping them understand how the company's software solves their problems, shaping solutions, and helping the company win contracts. They act as the technical bridge between customers, business development, and product teams. They need to be technical enough to credibly talk to government engineers, but also polished enough to present to senior DoD leadership, write proposals, and influence buying decisions.
• Meet with Air Force customers to understand problems and needs
• Help design and position the company's solutions to meet those needs
• Support pre sales and proposals — demos, technical write ups, solution design
• Present to everyone from engineers to generals
• Work closely with leadership to shape product direction based on what customers want
• Keep an eye on competitors and market trends

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years of experience in solution engineering, solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, technical business development, or systems engineering in the defense or aerospace sector.
• A track record of customer-facing technical work: pre-sales solutioning, proposal development, technical capture, customer demonstrations, or executive-level briefings in a defense context.
• Working knowledge of DoD digital engineering concepts: model-based systems engineering, digital thread, digital twin, authoritative data, and open-architecture principles.
• Conversational fluency in Air Force acquisition and sustainment
• Ability to translate customer mission needs into solution architectures and product requirements: bridging the gap between what the customer needs and what the product team builds.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
