Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer for a top healthcare technology client. This candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing critical healthcare data integrations, including HL7 and flat file feeds, while also contributing to analytics, reporting, and data warehousing initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically curious, and enjoys collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, reliable, and scalable data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• 2+ years of hands‑on coding experience with Microsoft SQL
• Experience supporting and maintaining data pipelines and integrations
• Experience working with HL7 message feeds and/or flat file data feeds
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining inbound and outbound data interfaces
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals (testing, code reviews, DevOps, telemetry)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with big data technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, or Azure
• Experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Dataflows, Azure Functions, Service Bus)
• Experience with polyglot data storage architectures
• Experience with BI tools, preferably Power BI
• Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or data visualization initiatives
• Healthcare data experience
