Job Description

An employer is seeking a contract Mid Level UX Designer to join a project supporting their Credit System Rewrite.
· Product design for internal operations for financial lending
· Research and discovery work to inform design decision-making
· Support for product management
General work expectations
· Design complex interfaces supporting business operations, including both internal and external users, with a human-centered approach
· Create interactive prototypes to illustrate functionality
· Utilize and contribute to in-house design system
· Evaluate designs and perform heuristic analysis of user interfaces to inform design direction
· Partner with business subject matter experts and software engineers to develop and prioritize features and stories
· Plan and conduct user research and communicate synthesized findings
· Design journey maps, service blueprints, and other service design and information architecture artifacts
· An empathetic, compassionate, and curious approach, striving for the highest quality experience through collaboration.
· Comfortable giving and receiving design critique, as well as thoughtful, tactful, design guidance across disciplines
· Review, provide feedback on, and support the development of user stories and features.

Required Skills & Experience

· 5 years of relevant professional experience; familiarity working with design systems and/or component libraries (UX in banking)
· Experience designing and thinking in terms of visual style guides, design languages, and design system patterns and components.
· Advanced knowledge of Figma.
· Demonstrated proficiency in iterative refinement through feedback and collaboration with designers, engineers, stakeholders, and end users.
· Familiarity with Scrum business practices and approach.
· Experience with UX research

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in human computer interaction, management information systems, or other, design-related field.
· Some travel may be required
