Job Description

Lead engineering support for the reactivation of the steam ejector exhaust system used to pull vacuum on the test chamber during rocket fire tests
Analyze and resolve issues identified during the recent Integrated System Test (IST) conducted using a mobile 250 PSIG boiler
Engineer and support the integration of a larger 500 PSIG boiler into the existing exhaust and steam system
Plan, support, and execute a second IST following integration of the new boiler
Provide ongoing steam system engineering support, including system evaluation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Coordinate with facilities, test operations, safety, and project teams to ensure system readiness and safe operation during testing
Support work execution activities related to steam piping, pressure systems, exhaust flow, and vacuum performance

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
Demonstrated expertise in high‑pressure steam systems (industrial, power generation, or large‑scale test environments)
Experience working with steam ejectors, exhaust systems, or vacuum generation systems
Hands‑on experience supporting system testing, commissioning, or reactivation in complex mechanical environments
Strong understanding of pressure systems, steam flow, thermal systems, and safety considerations
Clear experience in an engineering capacity (this is not a boiler operator or stationary engineer role)
