Job Description
Insight Global’s client, located in Akron, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support its core behavioral health operations at its main outpatient location.
This role works directly with clients experiencing severe mental illness and requires comfort operating in a fast‑paced, high‑touch environment that includes both clinic‑based and community‑based care.
The RN will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, advanced practice nurses, social workers, case managers, and nursing leadership while adapting care approaches to non‑linear treatment paths and fluctuating client acuity.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
The RN will provide nursing support to clients with severe mental health diagnoses in outpatient and community‑based settings.
The RN will work closely with psychiatrists and treatment teams to support medication management and treatment adherence.
The RN will assist with monitoring client stability and progression in coordination with case management teams.
The RN will engage clients who struggle with appointment adherence or medication compliance.
The RN will participate in coordinated care planning with social workers, APNs, psychiatrists, and nursing leadership.
The RN will adapt nursing support based on client acuity and evolving clinical needs.
The RN will collaborate with a large internal clinical team that includes multiple RNs, LPNs, APNs, psychiatrists, and organizational leadership.
Schedule
This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from approximately 8:30am to 5:00pm with no weekends, no nights, no shift work, and no on‑call requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
The candidate must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience working in behavioral health, psychiatry, or with individuals diagnosed with severe mental disabilities (SMD).
The candidate must have exposure to client populations including schizophrenia, severe depression, or other serious mental illnesses.
The candidate must be adaptable and flexible when supporting clients whose care progression is unpredictable and non‑linear.
The candidate must be comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary clinical team environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
The candidate has experience working in integrated care environments that combine behavioral health and medical services.
The candidate has experience supporting indigent or Medicaid‑eligible populations.
The candidate has a background in community‑based nursing or outpatient behavioral health services.
