Job Description

An employer in the Dayton, Ohio area is seeking a TS/SCI Strategic Deterrence Targeting Expert for a direct-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for leading and supporting strategic targeting, homeland defense planning, and deterrence-focused intelligence operations that inform both national and operational-level decision-making. The successful candidate will conduct high consequence, time sensitive, and national level threat assessments, translating complex intelligence into clear, actionable insights for diverse operational and intelligence audiences. Responsibilities also include applying modeling and simulation, scenario development, and threat based assessment tools to evaluate complex threat environments and potential courses of action, as well as analyzing adversary long range strike capabilities, delivery platforms, and targeting behaviors to support defensive and deterrence strategies. This position is fully remote, with approximately 50% travel to customer sites. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Required Skills & Experience

Active TS/SCI clearance
8+ years of experience in strategic targeting, homeland defense planning, or deterrence intelligence operations
Experience conducting high-consequence, time-sensitive, or national-level threat assessments
Experience with modeling and simulation, scenario development, or threat-based assessment tools
Knowledge of adversary long range strike capabilities, delivery platforms, and targeting behaviors
Ability to communicate succinctly for both operational and intelligence audiences

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree
Experience working in a joint operational environment and with the interagency
Experience collaborating with engineers, analysts, and developers to ensure training and test systems reflect real world operational and intelligence workflows
Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and analytic methods that enhance threat modeling, scenario realism, and integration workflows
