Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Business Systems Engineer to support Norplas Industries Inc, a division of Magna Exteriors, located in Northwood, Ohio. This role partners closely with the Lead Business Systems Engineer to support and enhance the company’s ERP environment (QAD). Day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing system report updates, user setup and maintenance, and access controls. The role also supports several front‑office digital applications built with React and SQL, including quoting tools, accident reporting, and change management systems. We are seeking candidates with a couple of years of hands‑on experience who are eager to grow their skills in a manufacturing systems environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manufacturing Systems Support: Support and maintain manufacturing and business systems, including the QAD ERP platform, data collection systems, administrative applications, and other internally developed Norplas applications.
• Database & System Reliability: Maintain and support databases hosted on QAD Progress servers to ensure a secure, stable, and high‑performing operating environment.
• EDI Coordination: Manage and coordinate EDI processes to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable data exchange with customers, suppliers, and external partners.
• Application Development & Inventory Accuracy: Oversee and support application development initiatives, automated inventory transactions, and inventory accuracy for Norplas sequencing facilities.
• ERP & EDI Project Support: Collaborate on the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of new ERP and EDI projects, ensuring successful adoption and long‑term usability.
• User Support & Troubleshooting: Provide functional support to Norplas users by resolving application‑related questions and issues involving QAD, Microsoft Office, Windows, and related systems.
• Infrastructure Collaboration: Partner with Network Administrators to support a scalable and reliable system architecture that enables the deployment and growth of new applications.
• Data Protection & Continuity: Ensure ERP backup strategies and system maintenance plans are effective in protecting business data and maintaining application availability.
Compensation:
$70,000 to $90,000 per year annual salary.

Required Skills & Experience
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or 4 years of directly related work experience
• Experience with SQL (back-end development)
• Experience with React (front-end development)
• Web development experience
• 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and understand business processes
