Job Description

One of our clients is seeking an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master to lead our Cloud Development Team. This team of highly skilled Cloud Engineers is at the forefront of building and maintaining secure, high-performance cloud environments and managed services for our customers and engineering divisions. As a Scrum Master, you will be the linchpin for the team's success, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, collaboration, and efficient delivery within an Agile framework.
You will play a critical role in translating architectural designs into actionable work, prioritizing tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring transparent communication with all stakeholders. Your ability to facilitate, coach, and remove impediments will empower our Cloud Developers to deliver exceptional results and contribute directly to our strategic cloud initiatives.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Agile Facilitation & Coaching: Serve as a servant leader and coach for the Cloud Development Team, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to ensure maximum effectiveness and adherence to Agile principles.
• Backlog Management: Collaborate closely with architects and product stakeholders to refine architectural designs and functional requirements into well-defined, actionable user stories and tasks for the team's backlog.
• Prioritization & Grooming: Guide the team and product stakeholders through effective backlog grooming and prioritization sessions, ensuring a clear understanding of scope, dependencies, and business value.
• Impediment Removal: Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress, escalating issues as necessary and collaborating with relevant parties to find solutions.
• Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor sprint progress, track key metrics, and provide transparent status reports on predicted delivery dates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.
• Visibility & Communication: Assist in the creation and maintenance of customer-facing dashboards and other communication tools to enhance visibility into the team's work, progress, and value delivery.
• Team Performance & Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging self-organization, accountability, and the adoption of best practices. Facilitate retrospectives to identify areas for growth and implement actionable improvements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for external stakeholders, translating technical details into clear, concise updates and managing communication flows to ensure everyone is informed.
• Process Adherence: Ensure the team adheres to agreed-upon Agile processes and practices, while also being flexible enough to adapt and evolve processes to best suit the team's needs.
