Job Description
Eaton’s IT organization seeks an experienced System Architect – Design System to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale design system. This role translates business requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with Eaton’s architecture standards. The architect drives end-to-end development—from high-level design to implementation oversight—ensuring scalability, security, and quality. As a senior technical leader, this position also mentors’ teams and contributes to technology strategy through governance and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Solution Architecture & Quality: Design and validate software solutions, create architecture artifacts, and oversee testing to ensure performance and compliance.
• Technical Leadership: Guide cross-functional teams, provide mentorship, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Requirements Translation: Convert business needs into technical specifications and system diagrams.
• Governance & Standards: Ensure designs meet enterprise architecture standards; lead reviews and approvals.
• Future-State Planning: Address scalability, security, and compliance; plan for evolving business needs.
• Technical Debt Management: Identify and drive improvements to maintain architecture maturity.
• Implementation Oversight: Monitor development, perform code reviews, and troubleshoot integration challenges.
• Strategic Contribution: Influence technology roadmaps and participate in architecture governance forums.

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
· Experience: 15+ years in software engineering and architecture; proven leadership in enterprise-scale systems.
· Adobe Experience Manager (AEM): Expertise in AEM 6.5 development and integration.
· Front-End: 6–7 years with Angular (19+ preferred), NgRx, and modern UI frameworks (Tailwind, PrimeNG, Angular Material).
· Back-End: 10+ years with Java, .NET, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and database integration.
· Testing & DevOps: Proficiency in JUnit, Maven, NPM, CI/CD, and Git.
· Technical Skills: Strong grasp of design patterns, microservices, performance tuning, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
· Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, documentation, and team mentorship.
