Job Description
Insight Global is hiring for a Structural Engineer to support a variety of structural and construction related projects throughout the region. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on engineering, interested in leadership, solving complex structural challenges, and collaborating directly with contractors, project managers, and internal engineering teams to deliver safe, code compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare structural engineering design plans, drawings, and calculations for both temporary and permanent structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry materials.
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and drafting teams to clarify requirements and deliver accurate, constructible solutions.
• Evaluate site conditions, load paths, and structural demands; ensure compliance with governing codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.).
• Support projects from concept through construction, participating in reviews, design revisions, and occasional site visits.

Required Skills & Experience
-4+ years of structural engineering experience
-Active Professional Engineer (PE) License – from any U.S. state
-Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (structural emphasis), or Architectural Engineering
-Proficiency with structural analysis, design methods, and relevant building codes
-Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Someone passionate about leadership and looking to get into leadership in their future
-Experience in bridge design, including loading, rating, or rehabilitation work
-Familiarity with 3D structural analysis/finite element tools (e.g., RISA, STAAD, SAP2000, Tekla Structural Designer, or similar)
