Services Senior Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Services Senior Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable backend services and modern web applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in Java and related technologies, along with a solid foundation in full-stack development principles. The ideal candidate embraces modern engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), GraphQL, Spring Boot, Kafka APIs, and Contract Testing to ensure code quality, system resilience, and team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java-based backend systems and microservices.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to deliver reliable, high-quality code.
• Build and integrate GraphQL and REST APIs for efficient data querying and flexible client-server communication.
• Develop and maintain contract tests to validate service contracts and reduce integration issues.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and project goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, and DevOps engineers.
• Enhance existing software to fix defects, adapt to new requirements, and optimize performance.
• Contribute to DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, performance monitoring, and deployment automation.
• Drive continuous improvement in code quality, team collaboration, and agile delivery practices.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
• Proven expertise in TDD using tools like JUnit, Mockito, or Spock.
• Proficiency in GraphQL schema design, query optimization, and backend integration.
• Experience with contract testing frameworks (e.g., Pact, Spring Cloud Contract).
• Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong skills in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Prior experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership.
• Background in enterprise-grade distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace).
• Passion for clean, maintainable code and scalable architecture.
