Job Description

Process Engineer specializing in crankshaft manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for crankshafts at the Cleveland Engine Plant.
• Purchasing and delivering equipment. Writing orders to buy the needed equipment, making sure equipment is designed, run off on supplier floor, run it off, qualifying and running to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Development, Suppliers, Launch Programs) to: Generate tooling and facility cost estimates and Improve quality and reduce labor demand
• Use virtual tools to assess feasibility of new designs for high-volume manufacturing
• Write, modify, and maintain process documentation, including: Process sheets, Cycle Line Layouts
• Lead machining and assembly tooling design, build, installation, commissioning—and support vendor buy-offs
• Identify, resolve, and close product and tooling launch issues; extract lessons learned for future prevention

Compensation:

$35/hr to $40/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in engineering
• Crankshaft experience 2+ years
• Process engineering experience: processing machining line from beginning to end. Purchasing and delivering equipment.
• Experience purchasing and delivering equipment, writing orders to buy equipment, running off equipment, qualifying and running to production.
• Machining experience
