Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer in the Dayton, OH area for a direct hire opportunity. You will be supporting a variety of government programs that require product design and development knowledge. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing testing with PCB layouts and x-ray. Responsibilities include designing and analyzing electrical and electro-mechanical components and systems. You’ll be developing and reading schematics, wiring diagrams and circuit layouts. There will be some reverse engineering during your day to day as well. You’ll be required for hands on testing and developing production ready TDPs for re-manufacture, modernization and form fit function replacements. You’ll need experience with different electrical test equipment, like oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, and logic analyzers as well as needing the ability to characterize circuit performance and validate functionality. this resource will be working with internal and external supply chain, quality engineering, and configuration management teams. They’ll be preparing engineering reports, analysis documentation, design review. This role would require someone who can work in a lab environment but also be client facing and collaborating outside of the lab with travel to client sites up to 30%.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace)
- 3-5 years of electrical or electronic engineering experience
- Circuit board and PCB layout experience
- Experience with relays, capacitors, connectors, etc
- Experience with testing equipment: (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, logic analyzers)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of reverse engineering experience
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering
- Technical writing experience
