Job Description
A large financial organization is seeking a Technical Product Owner that will sit onsite in Cincinnati Ohio for a long term contract. As a Technical Product Owner, you will lead the strategic planning, development, and management of financial products or services designed to enable the seamless transfer, payment, and movement of funds for our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize features, and ensure the delivery of secure, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. You will join an established scrum team that is responsible for modernizing their collections platform and the platform's middleware.
Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, developers, and QA testers, to ensure successful product development and delivery.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer preferences related to financial transactions to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Requirements Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, considering customer needs, compliance, and security.
Agile Development: Implement agile methodologies to manage the product development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iteration reviews.
Security and Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with regulatory requirements and security standards, including data privacy and fraud prevention.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with! financial transactions, payment processing, and funds movement.
Stakeholder Communication: Keep internal and external stakeholders informed about product progress, updates, and any issues or challenges.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner
Technical/IT background and knowledgeable in APIs, Middleware, data transactions/flows through various systems
Strong written and verbal communication
Strategic problem solver
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience modernizing middleware platforms
Experience working in banking or finance
