Job Description

DESCRIPTION:
The AR Specialist – Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring contractual requirements on projects are being met and updating stakeholders with receivables status. The AR Specialist facilitates all aspects of the project in relation to accounting, cash flow, and support of operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fully responsible for managing customer and project manager experience, creating a positive presence of support to our customers and project managers
Communicate effectively and be highly organized
Process monthly progress billings ensuring they are accurate and on time
Work collaboratively with project team to manage customer expectations
Direct job compliance in a manner that allows smooth monthly cycles and quick turnaround of payment
Effectively communicate to customers and project managers to allow understanding and quick resolution of any requirements.
Manage receivable status and entry to ERP system to facilitate visibility in collection and billing process.
Make suggestions for and support continuous improvement projects.
Collect lien waivers from suppliers, and support AR, AP, and operations team in compliance requirements
Filing notices to establish lien rights and monitor lien right expiration dates, including research to understand lien
laws by state
Support of operations team in all facilities providing an excellent customer experience

Required Skills & Experience

Worked in an office environment (internship or full-time)
Possession of critical skills including planning and organizing, problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking,
follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in
acting promptly and decisively without delay
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees within the organization.
Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all levels of employees in a team-oriented environment
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and know when to escalate

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Associate or bachelor's degree
Experience with ERP/accounting systems, internet applications, and MS Office
Strong working knowledge of excel, payables subledger, and billing a plus
Ability to stay positive and enthusiastic under pressure
Must be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and efficiency
Work hard to exceed customer expectations
Desire to continually improve internal processes
Quick decision-making skills
Ability to handle unique challenges and independently create solutions
