Job Description

A Client in the Software Development Industry is seeking to hire a 6+ month contractor for a Traveling Tech Lead of a SCCM to Intune migration project. The responsibilities are:
• Migration Strategy & Planning:
o Assess current R&D client configurations and requirements.
o Understand Accenture's standard image, deployment methods (e.g., Intune/Entra ID, Autopilot), and support model.
o Develop a detailed, phased migration roadmap for R&D clients, coordinating with Accenture.
o Design a "white glove" support plan tailored for R&D users to ensure minimal disruption.
o Identify and mitigate migration risks (e.g., application compatibility, data loss).
• Accenture & R&D Coordination:
o Act as the primary technical liaison between Siemens R&D, Siemens IT, and Accenture.
o Ensure R&D-specific application and configuration requirements are addressed within the Accenture image.
o Manage and coordinate the re-imaging schedule with R&D teams and individual users.
• Migration Execution & Support:
o Oversee and coordinate the re-imaging process for R&D clients to the Siemens standard image.
o Ensure R&D-specific applications function correctly post-migration.
o Provide immediate, high-touch technical support and troubleshooting for R&D users during and after migration.
o Plan and manage a pilot migration program.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
o Create documentation for R&D-specific configurations and new support processes.
o Facilitate knowledge transfer to Siemens' internal IT teams on the new Accenture-managed environment.
• Program Leadership:
o Provide strong technical and program leadership for the R&D migration.
o Manage expectations of R&D leadership, users, Siemens IT, and Accenture.
o Provide regular progress updates and escalate critical issues.


Must be willing to travel for most of this role. Preferred locations: Milford, OH; Detroit, MI; Wilsonville, OR; Fremont, CA; Huntsville, AL; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC

Required Skills & Experience

Expertise in Modern Windows Client Management & Migration

Proven experience transitioning from legacy systems (e.g., SCCM) to modern platforms like Intune, Entra ID, and Autopilot.
Deep understanding of Windows OS imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.



Strong Program & Project Leadership

Ability to lead complex, multi-phase migration programs with minimal disruption.
Skilled in roadmap development, risk mitigation, and pilot planning.
Experience managing expectations across diverse stakeholders (R&D, IT, Accenture).



Exceptional Communication & Stakeholder Management

Strong interpersonal skills to serve as the primary technical liaison between Siemens R&D, Siemens IT, and Accenture.
Capable of delivering clear updates, managing escalations, and ensuring alignment across teams.



High-Touch Support & Troubleshooting Experience

Ability to design and execute a “white glove” support model for R&D users.
Hands-on troubleshooting during and post-migration to ensure application compatibility and user satisfaction.



Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Capabilities

Skilled in creating detailed technical documentation for configurations, support processes, and migration outcomes.
Experience facilitating knowledge transfer to internal IT teams for long-term sustainability.
