Job Description

An Engineering consultancy company in the Cincinnati area is seeking a Process Engineer to lead and execute client projects across a variety of industries including power, industrial, chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage, life sciences, and consumer product. Projects will range from small to large scale projects with multi-phase process implementations. Below is a breakdown of the day to day:

- Lead or contribute to process design work, including engineering calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, specifications, datasheets, and design documentation.
- Select and integrate mechanical and process equipment such as turbines, boilers, emission control systems, material handling equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, water treatment systems, control valves, and instrumentation.
- Develop plant heat and material balances, as well as water balances.
- Review and support the development of piping systems and isometric drawings.
- Collaborate on control system and logic design for plant DCS systems.
- Participate in internal quality assurance by reviewing interdisciplinary work products.
- Support proposals by helping define scope, estimate costs, and outline deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in industries such as power, industrial, chemicals, petrochemical, pulp and paper, consumer products, or food and beverage
- Skilled in managing detailed phases of engineering projects to meet key milestones (punch lists, stand ups, client presentations, budgeting, etc.)
- Continuous improvement expertise
- Hands-on experience in all phases of process design, from concept through commissioning and validation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with piping design codes (ASME b31.1 and b31.3)
- Experience with projects above $100M
- Experience working with Fortune 500 clients
