Job Description

The Cybersecurity Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional cybersecurity teams to achieve key security objectives using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This role involves overseeing project planning, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation, while maintaining a strong grasp of cybersecurity principles. The Project Manager ensures that secure solutions are delivered on time and within budget by fostering collaboration and aligning project goals with security requirements. Responsibilities include managing the delivery of small to medium-sized projects of low to moderate complexity, from requirements definition through development, testing, and final implementation. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Building strong relationships with NiSource technology partners and contributing to project management processes—such as statement of work development and vendor progress tracking—is essential. The Project Manager should demonstrate a solid understanding of core project management activities, including risk and issue management, decision-making, dependency tracking, status reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning. Additionally, the role involves facilitating collaboration across departments and levels, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and utilizing project management and SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile) and tools such as ServiceNow, Power BI, and Jira.
