Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine)

Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support the internal medicine provider by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care and office operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Management: Assist in managing the provider's patient schedule, including rooming patients and preparing them for examinations.
Vital Signs: Measure and record patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
EKGs: Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as ordered by the provider.
Injections and Vaccines: Administer injections and vaccines following the provider's instructions and protocols.
Charting: Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR). MYCHART & EPIC
Patient Education: Provide patients with information about their conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
Clinical Support: Assist with minor procedures, prepare and maintain examination rooms, and ensure all medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
