A client in the Cincinnati area is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Microbiologist to join their team for an on-going contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various microbial efficacy studies and investigations to support product development. This role offers the opportunity to engage in microbiome studies and utilize PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) techniques to amplify DNA sequences. Their lab, which has a strong foundation in cultural methods, provides a dynamic environment for learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct microbial efficacy studies to support product development.
- Perform investigations and studies related to microbiome research.
- Utilize PCR techniques for DNA amplification.
- Engage in compendial methods and testing.
- Perform all investigational work required for the role.
- Compile, map, and analyze data during downtime.
- Provide thorough follow-up and explanations on project progress.

- 1+ years of experience in microbial identification, antimicrobial efficacy testing such as USP, BP and ISO methods
- Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, or science
- Proficient in scientific literature review, analyze, summarize learning, and interpret test data to identify data trend or resolution
- Data proficiency
