A large financial organization is seeking a Accounting Transformation Specialist that will sit onsite 5 days a week in Downtown Cincinnati to a long-term contract potential to hire opportunity. This individual will be a Part of the Finance Transformation and Accounting teams responsible for learning existing product accounting (servicing systems) and financial statement tools (general ledger), to aid in the modernization of these tools. This role aims to assist in implementation of modernized systems, increase data transparency and improve efficiencies in finance and accounting processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and SEC reporting requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
Working with the Agile squad, participating in agile ceremonies to improve ways of working. They will perform month-end close activities to understand existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaboration with IT and operations teams is essential to thoroughly understand the operational and setup functions of commercial lending tools, aiming to enhance accounting practices and benefit IT and operations. Regular communication with Finance and Accounting is maintained to address all relevant items and issues. The specialist identifies, analyzes, and supports data used in Finance and Accounting processes to establish and meet business needs for a new product accounting system. They create meaningful value for internal stakeholders by ensuring documentation is created and up to date. Learning and understanding various aspects of commercial line of business data and processes is crucial. They develop and execute test cases, documenting results for new product accounting systems, and maintain detailed records of loan accounts, performing regular reconciliations during system upgrade testing (AFS Vision). Prioritizing skill development and industry knowledge brings efficiencies to the team. The specialist proactively identifies issues, performs analysis, and prepares solutions for changes in product, business processes, or technology affecting Finance processes. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and SEC reporting requirements, including preparing and reviewing necessary documentation with SMEs, is also a key responsibility.

· 3+ years of experience working in Accounting or Finance
· Experience tying balances out
· Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel skills to effectively manage and analyze financial data
