3+ years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in electrical grid projects, including substations, transmission lines, and related infrastructure.
Experience performing material inspections and testing to energy equipment:
o GIS, switchgears, circuit breakers, transformers, etc
Comfortable being around high voltage equipment
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ANSI) and regulatory requirements.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and testing methods.

Insight Global is looking to hire a QA/QC Engineer for one of our large energy companies in Plain City, Ohio. This will be a short term contract role, ending in early May. The Site QA/QC Engineer for Grid Solutions will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities on-site for a project related to electrical grid infrastructure. This role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This candidate will also perform testing and material inspections on energy equipment such as transformers, switchgears, circuit breakers, etc The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, quality management systems, and experience in the energy sector, specifically within substations.
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures specific to grid solutions projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Quality Control:
Review and approve materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.
Perform testing and inspection of electrical components, systems, and installations, documenting results and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities, ensuring traceability and compliance with project documentation requirements.
Prepare and submit quality reports to project management and stakeholders, highlighting any non-conformities and corrective actions.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Facilitate communication between site teams and management regarding quality-related matters
