Job Description

A large government contractor is looking for an EHS Technician for their Cincinnati, OH site. Responsibilities are as follows:

· On-site daily support: Provide direct support to achieve EHS goals and objectives.
· Workplace Evaluations: Perform safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace surveys. Identify and advise on corrective actions and ensure effective resolution. Regularly inspect fire extinguishers, Go Bags, eye wash stations, Hazardous Waste Accumulation areas, and conduct Hazardous Waste Inventory.
· Training: Conduct safety training and briefings for all site personnel, visitors, and contractors, covering topics from hazardous waste to powered industrial truck safety.
· Meeting Participation: Engage in daily stand-ups (Gemba) and routine Safety Committee meetings. Document and follow up on EHS actions.
· Concern Reports Management: Address and assign Concern Reports using the online safety database Gensuite. Integrate suggestion box items into the system.
· Hazardous Waste Oversight: Support the hazardous waste management program with container inspections, labeling, and emergency procedures.
· Emergency Preparedness: Maintain and update evacuation rosters and emergency contact forms.
· Contractor Safety: Escort and oversee contractors on-site. Complete training debriefs, inspections.
· Documentation & Communication: Create, maintain, and file necessary EHS documentation. Post signage and manage electronic files.
Technical skill: Utilize computer skills for document creation, presentations, internet research, and email communication.

Required Skills & Experience

-2+ years of relevant experience with a large manufacturer
-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act - (RCRA) knowledge pertaining to hazardous waste management
- PMS experience
- Industrial hygiene background

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CPR/First Aid/AED Recovery Certification
Union environment experience
Industrial Hygiene knowledge and experience
