Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying an Electrical Integration Supervisor in the renewable space for a direct hire opportunity. This role entails leveraging an outside contractor for electrical work for tasks such as wire installation, ensuring accurate execution, and collaborating with the design team from the project's outset. Supporting Project Managers in defining necessary materials is crucial. other responsibilities include ensuring quality standards, verifying code compliance, helping create scope of work, compiling BOM material estimates, and providing input to engineers on design of conductor and conduit plans. This expert should possess skills in electrical development and material knowledge, as well as be prepared to travel to integration sites to provide oversight to subcontracted electricians for quality assurance and quality control.
o Oversight and Quality Inspections:
o Provide support and oversight to electrical subcontractors during assembly of power conversion skids, battery storage systems, EV Charging Systems, LV Substation Skids, and other energy related products.
o Conduct regular inspections, audits, and punch lists to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
o Provide input in real time as well as problem solving unforeseen mechanical or electrical challenges.
o Address any issues promptly and provide guidance to subcontractors.

o Quoting and Estimating:
o Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess electrical requirements.
o Provide input for accurate cost estimates for electrical materials, labor, and equipment.
o Assist in creating competitive bids for new projects.

o Conduit Layout Design:
o Work closely with the engineering team to design conduit layouts for electrical systems.
o Ensure efficient routing of conduits, considering safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
o Provide input on material selection, sizing, and installation methods.

o Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of electrical work, inspections, and progress.
o Generate reports on project status, budget adherence, and any deviations from plans.
o Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

o Collaboration and Communication:
o Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, maintenance) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
o Communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
o Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise.

Required Skills & Experience

o Journeyman Electrician license from the state of Ohio or Colorado
o Industrial or electrical utilities background (not residential)
o Experience with medium voltage power conversion systems, switchboards, transformers, substation work, solar systems
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical supervision, estimation, and conduit design.
Strong knowledge of NEC electrical codes, safety practices, and industry standards.
Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite - Excel, email, typing, etc.
Willingness to travel 50% of the time to the other plant (between CO and OH mostly)
