Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Welding Engineer to sit onsite at one of our clients in Euclid, OH. This person will provide engineering support for production joining operations and employee training and qualifications. They will develop, qualify, prepare, and maintain welding/brazing procedures in accordance with the applicable standards. This person will also monitor joining operations in the manufacturing area to support established schedules while assuring procedure compliance. They will provide technical support to hourly weld personnel regarding weld functions (not direct supervision), investigate and recommend new welding and brazing techniques/equipment/process improvements and also provide technical assistance regarding standard and repair routings. They will interface with Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, Product Engineering, and other functional departments to support the resolution of hardware joining problems and interface with the Materials Laboratory to support testing of qualification test assemblies and other weld engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.

Compensation Range:
$80,000-$100,000

Compensation varies based on multiple factors within candidate level/experience/specifics/etc.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Welding Engineering OR previous experience as a welder engineer and bachelors degree in engineering field, preferably in mechanical engineer
2+ years of experience within the welding industry
Strong verbal and technical writing skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE (Department of Energy) security clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Working with welders on the shop floor previously
Working with large robot-like machinery
