Job Description

The Senior Director, Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for overseeing business unit communications for Operations and Safety; Finance; Policy and Regulatory; People and Culture, Customer Experience; and Innovation and Technology. The Sr Director serves as a trusted partner and advisor driving well-designed, high-impact communications that elevate visibility and thought leadership while ensuring consistency across channels and audiences. This role is ideal for someone highly experienced in working with top-tier executives, crafting compelling content, leading diverse teams, and managing complex projects with precision and efficiency.
Shapes communications strategies based on a deep understanding of business units to achieve their objectives, including engagement with employees, the media, industry, and local communities.
Strategic communications counselor to the companys executive team and other senior leaders.
Stay updated with the latest communication trends and best practices, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovative communication. Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and industry stakeholders to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
Serves as a member of the Communications Leadership Team, providing direction, counsel, and mentoring while inspiring and motivating high-performing teams to achieve their full potential.
Develops and executes communications plans to support organizational changes and M&As, partnering with cross-functional teams.
Develops and maintains a culture of safety, diversity and inclusion; fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Leads diverse team of qualified individuals with authority to hire, terminate, promote, demote, coach, develop and performance manage

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
12+ years of experience in communications with proven results across internal and external channels.
10+ years recent Strategic Leadership experience.
Strategic mindset, business maturity, and experience advising and working with senior executives. High
Ability to navigate in dynamic business environments and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams to drive desired outcomes. High
Excellent interpersonal skills with senior executives, direct reports and peers. High
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences and communication channels. High
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate high-performing teams to achieve their full potential. High
Ability to analyze and leverage data and insights to build unique narratives and storylines. High
Savvy, strategic thinker with experience utilizing traditional and non-traditional communications strategies and technology. High
Ability to travel at least 30%
