A client of Insight Global is looking for a Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for supporting and configuring all aspects of the clients AWS cloud environment including infrastructure, identity management, data, monitoring, alerting, and DevOps functionality. This role will own all the cloud for Donato's- Team of 1 Including the networking side, ec2's, S3 buckets and executing some DR plan. The client is looking for this individual to be able to understand the architecture of the environment. The example was given that the client would like this person to be able to draw a picture in PowerPoint on how systems are set up. Not new design but understanding how the IT Layers are talking to each other. The Cloud Engineer will also be responsible for establishing a go-forward strategy for new and innovative cloud opportunities, providing consultative direction, and leading the adoption of new cloud technologies. The candidate should have excellent analytical skills, a logical approach to problem solving, and be able to liaise with various stakeholders to understand complex requirements.
The ideal candidate will have software development experience in an agile Java or PHP environment and have a focus on exceptional customer service, striving to leave things better than they were.
Salary: $150,000USD

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, related fields, or equivalent experience required.
* 3 - 5 years' experience working in cloud environments -- specifically AWS
* Willing to discover/self motivated -When Amazon releases new features or a new version, candidates must have the mentality to pursue it
* Strong Experience on the networking side -- Candidates must be able to explain Amazon Networking Experience
