An employer is seeking a Quality Engineer to sit in Cincinnati, Portland, Charlotte, Chicago, San Jose or Boca Raton. This person will be joining the client's Next Generation Point of Sale (NGPOS) team specifically focusing on end-to-end testing on the backend side of payment processing. NGPOS is actively unlocking the client's potential to create a new, modern checkout experience for their associates and customers while honing in on ways to easily empower associates to complete transactions from anywhere in the store. This person will be supporting quality assurance programs and processes in alignment with QA strategy and deliverables in their Agile environment. The QE will need to be comfortable working independently and will be responsible for providing feedback on artifacts developed during the requirements and analysis phase within projects. He/She will author test cases/scripts and perform test execution for both project and support related activities while helping to identify opportunities to improve application code quality by increasing unit and integration test coverage. The team uses Karate heavily for API test-automation, this candidate needs to have practical experience utilizing this tool.

4+ Years with Karate API automation - interfacing with API - must be able to talk about their specific experience using Karate.
Previous Kafka/MQ experience.
Experience working with CI tools (Github Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc.)
3+ years of hands-on, automation testing of integration web services ( REST and SOAP protocols) that include database validations using tools like ( CA Dev Test , Karate API automation, Postman, SOAP UI Pro etc.)
Demonstrated experience in XML, XSD, XPath, MQTT, Topics, HTTP, HTTPS, JSON, Bytes array message format or Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)
2+ Java/Javascript programming (and Selenium) is a plus
Previous Payment Processing experience (back-end side)
Previous retail/eCommerce exp
