An employer is seeking a Grant Administrator in the Cincinnati, OH area to sit remotely. This person will join a team of nine and be responsible for assisting faculty and grant administrators with compiling data and tracking information for federal and private grant applications in order to submit to the National Institute of Health (NIH). That includes everything from preparing grant proposals, submitting the proposal, and the execution and acceptance of these awards. They will be required to track all of the required information regarding these complex grants and keep organized all in one cohesive document, all while communicating effectively and professionally with various faculty, researchers, and high level medical professionals to ease their work load. The client has an all-time-high amount of grant submissions right now, so they really need someone that is self driven and has effective communication.
3+ years experience working in grant administration, specifically pre-award
Extensive experience creating pre-award budgets
Familiarity with the NIH and/or DDHS sponsors
Proficient with Excel
Understanding of SAP, Kuali, eRA Commons, Grants.gov, Research.gov or other state and federal grant systems
Experience replying to Just-in-Time (JIT) requests from the NIH
Experience working in higher education within research
