Job Description

An employer is looking for a Director of Payroll for a direct hire opportunity in Cincinnati, OH. This position is accountable for managing all payroll operations for the Corporation and is responsible for the administration and database management of payroll/HR System (ADP). Performs and manages payroll-related internal control responsibilities for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance purposes.

Essential Functions:

- Direct payroll operations for the Corporation to ensure timely and accurate check processing and subsequent wage and tax reporting

- Administer ADP under an outsourced Service Model Agreement; identify, research, design, test, and implement changes/updates as a result of modifications in business requirements or regulations; includes monitoring and analyzing changes in tax, regulatory, and labor law for impact on operations; ensures the integrity of system data; must have an affinity for taking action to streamline and implement process improvements

- Calculate earned corporate team incentive award payments based on the approved plan and maintain supporting documentation for financial reporting purposes

- Provides technical support for analysis and resolution of user problems and training

- Directs work team; requires coaching and mentoring skills for the project team and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, shifting priorities for business conditions and changing resources

- Ensure all time reporting and payroll functions are in compliance with DOL - FLSA requirements, all federal, state, and local taxing requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley -

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of previous management/ supervisory experience within the payroll

Knowledge and experience with ADP

Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations for federal, state and local tax jurisdictions

Great communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with PeopleSoft HRIS
