Job Description

An employer in the Cincinnati, OH area is looking for a Medical Biller to do claims follow up for a direct hire opportunity. This person will be joining a team of Medical Billers that specialize in commercial claims for a large health system. They will be joining a team of around 12, and will be primarily tasked with following up on the status of commercial claims to ensure they are paid out. This will require them to call payers directly, as well as contact patients as needed so they are doing their part to ensure the claim is paid. This person will be on the phone with payers most of the day. The majority of their claims are Anthem, Med Mutual, United Health Group, and Humana so experience following up on those claims is preferred. This will be a M-F 7:30a-4:30p onsite position in the Norwood area. Candidates will be eligible for a 8-10 month review where they can discuss where they stand in earning the ability to have a hybrid schedule. Ability to work hybrid is based on productivity during first 6+ months.

Required Skills & Experience

Highschool Diploma, GED or greater



1-2 years experience as a medical biller or similar position



Experience following up on commercial claims via phone (preferably from Anthem, Med Mutual, United Health Group, or Humana)



Experience using Epic

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Epic certification



Experience working as a medical biller or claims specialist at a large hospital



Experience using Availity as a payer portal
