Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Medica Billing Claims Analyst to join our professional/physician billing team in Norwood, OH. This person will track and report on claims through Availity RCM. This team is responsible for billing for services provided by a physician or multiple physicians (this is not a hospital-based billing team).



This position is primarily responsible for ensuring claims go to clearinghouse timely and clean daily. Daily reports will be expected to be shared with leadership to ensure a clean claim rate. This position will require an individual to act as a liaison between IT and the outside clearinghouse to maintain edits and enhancements needed to reduce rejections or denials. Assist billing team to resolve processing issues. Educate billing team regarding how to use the clearinghouse data to expedite claim processing.



Other responsibilities include:



Communicates and resolves any claims issues between Clearing House and Epic IT

Maintains payer edits from Clearing House and user security

Reports claim volumes and trends to Management

Required Skills & Experience

Must have Professional Billing Epic experience and knowledge



Must have experience tracking claims and running reports withing Availity RCM software (used as clearing house)



4-5 years of experience in physician/professional billing (NOT hospital billing)



Strong attention to detail



Knowledge of medical terminology and coding

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Registration experience



Proficiency in Excel preferred
