Job Description

The QA Testing Analyst -- Senior for the IT CLOCS is viewed as a leader within their team and actively participates with the larger team to help ensure the quality, performance and excellence of the solutions provided to our business partners. The individual in this role will be assisting in all testing activities related to the delivery of application solutions to our internal business partners in Corporate Communications/Marketing, Physical Security, Enterprise Risk, and Community Development teams, while helping to ensure consistency with company strategy and goals. To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized. It is essential for the individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and drive the testing teams to complete tasks on agreed schedules. Management may look to this individual to provide leadership during software releases on an on-going basis and to ensure the completion of all tasks and activities performed by the broader testing team. This individual is expected to help lead relationships with the business, internal testing teams, and external vendors. The ability to provide feedback in a respectful manner and stand firm when quality does not meet expectations is required.



Primary Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the planning, integration, test casing, scripting and execution of all testing to ensure proper coverage

- Schedules and leads test deliverables review sessions as necessary

- Work on multiple projects/systems as a project team member and can become a subject matter expert for a single project/system. These projects are of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments

- Collaborate with the BSA and Development teams in the analysis and review of business objectives and requirements to ensure requirements are testable

- Actively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specifications

- Develop, document, and maintain the test data, data validation, and end to end testing flows

- Conduct testing using HNB manual and/or automated test processes and reports results

- May run database queries in order to supply data validation within test scripts

- Updates test cases based upon approved change requests

- Works with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triage

- Assigns defect severity and manages defects throughout the project

- Works with colleagues and project managers to meet established target dates and completion of activities/deliverables under changing conditions

- Creates test status reports per project guidelines

- Creates test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readiness

- Creates and facilitates review of the Test Strategy with the project team

- Identifies any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalates immediately to management

- Collects testing sign-off from all testing participants, including cross-impacted application teams

- Ensures all aspects of testing, such as manual execution, regression, automation, and performance testing, is completed

- Collaborates with Project Test Lead on estimating the test efforts

- Collaborates with the project team to support UAT efforts as needed

- Maintains the regression test bed to meet changing requirements

- Participates in off-hour production releases as needed

- Supports the project's warranty period as needed

- Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement and problem solving

- Provides mentorship to junior team members as needed

- Understands and consistently follows the project lifecycle methodology

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships or work experience --

-3-5 years of QA or UAT testing experience - Strong technical knowledge with a good understanding of software development principles (e.g., object-oriented programming), QA Framework/Basic Test Methodology and project lifecycles (e.g., SDLC)

- Strong aptitude in both business and technology - Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to explain system issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationships

- Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

- Willingness and drive to learn and understand detailed software solutions - Proficient in Quality Management Software and related processes
