Job Description

We are searching for a can-do, forward thinking, and service heart oriented Solution Architect for the Enterprise Payments -- Payment Products team. The Payment Products team supports origination, servicing and core processing for Huntington credit card and debit card products.

As a leader within our Application Development team, you will be a technical leader who partners with business stakeholders and works with product development teams to design and implement architecture that enables quality of highly integrated applications. This Architect will also work with business and IT leadership to develop and maintain product-level roadmaps supporting business and technology strategies.



This candidate will participate in one or more project teams, supporting the design and modeling the architecture related solutions, component identification, quality reviews and adherence to policies, standards, guidelines and procedures. A regular task this individual will do is review the existing business processes and establish metrics to improve business processes as well as support all architectural disciplines under their direction.



* Function as a subject matter expert on origination, servicing, and payment origination and payment settlement workflows for debit card and credit card transactions spanning all customer channels, core banking and card issuing platforms.

* Develop end to end solution approaches for new and modified customer experiences specific to debit card and credit card payment instruments.

* Generate solution design deliverables including conceptual architecture diagrams, logical architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, technical component inventories, and high level solution estimates.

* Understand, advocate and augment the principles of information technology strategies.

* Analyze enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding change requirements.

* Analyze the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.

* Analyze technology industry and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the enterprise.

* "Sell" the architecture process, its outcomes, and ongoing results.

* Define the principles to guide solution decisions.

* Design and lead the implementation of solutions based on enterprise business requirements and IT strategies.

* Develop a road map of the evolution of applications from current to future state.

* Coordinate solution architecture implementation and modification activities.

* Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards, as well as the design of standard software configurations.

* Consult with application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate project needs.

* Gain and apply understanding of Huntington's Core Modernization principles consisting of REST APIs and Enterprise Event Hub

* Understand and apply Huntington information security and cyber-security standards

* Responsible for refinement of teams' work efforts by working with application technical leads across multiple applications.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree

* 5 years of experience in multiple IT areas, to include experience in at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with Card Processor platforms like Fiserv/FDR or TSYS.

* Knowledge of monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk

* Mainframe knowledge a plus

* Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines
