Job Description
A large water solutions and manufacturing client of Insight Global is looking for a Network Architect to join their infrastructure team and be responsible for all engineering aspects of the network infrastructure domain including long-term planning, design, implementation, and support of enterprise solutions across LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Firewall Networks. Due to the growth of the company, specifically IT, and processes maturing, there is a larger need for continued architecture and additional projects to integrate with the network. There are a lot of applications to standardize and communicate with the network. Be the point person that defines and standardizes how the company will "redo" the network so that new and existing applications can integrate and communicate with other applications as well as the network, not just on the physical aspect, but in the cloud as well (Azure). The immediate need is to migrate Meraki to HP Aruba and Palo Alto. There is a future need and desire to dive into OT (Operational Technology) Architecture, more manufacturing than IT/Business. No architecture has been selected for Operational Technology -- Collaborate with Security on designs and drive design discussions to implement and integrate technology. In OT there is a potential future need for HP Aruba or Fortinet. Partner with the business, project managers, and project teams to gather requirements and design solutions, develop technical domain summary documents and strategic roadmaps. Impact the current environment and future by implementing new technologies as part of large-scale lifecycle programs and strategic enterprise projects.
The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground and make an immediate impact by taking over and driving projects ASAP. Must be able to communicate with upper leadership, as well as, break things down in layman's terms working with other areas of the business being an excellent lesion across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience and a mindset as a forward thinker, leveraging efficiencies, and always being interested in what's new, rather than what they have always done.
Required Skills & Experience
* 2-4+ Years of Experience in an Architect role with an Engineering Background (Not someone who wants to become an architect, but has already designed & implemented multiple projects)
o Creating & delivering advanced enterprise-wide network architectures covering LAN, WAN, Wireless, 4/5G, SD-WAN, VPNs, NAC, and Zero Trust
o Created and implemented repeatable, reliable, and scalable network architectures with disaster recovery, fault tolerance, application and network performance tuning, system monitoring, and statistics collection
* 5+ years of experience in a multi-site environment consisting of at least 1500+ endpoints
* Networking in the Cloud -- Azure HIGHLY preferred (AWS/GCP ok)
* Must be able to work effectively across multiple efforts/projects with limited supervision and effectively communicate with all areas of the organization -- Bridge the gap between IT & Business
* CCNA/CCNP REQUIRED (Or relevant HP/Cisco Equivalent)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* SASE Framework or SASE Cloud Architecture HIGHLY desirable (combines Network & Security as a service)
* OT (Operational Technology) Architecture -- specifically Manufacturing
* Certs or Familiarity with Hardware Vendor Solutions: Arista, Aruba/HP, Cloudflare, Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto
* Certs or Familiarity with Cloud Vendors: Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle
* 5G Solutioning or Private Cellular Experience
