A client in the Cincinnati, Ohio area is hiring a Retail Sales Manager to join their team. This person will be an individual contributor directly partnering with one of the largest retailers in the market. This role will consist of a balance of maintaining an already warm client relationship, continuous improvement of operations, and an analytical component of pulling data to identify trends and better align to the customer. This person will have a well-versed sales background in logistics, purchasing, or supply chain and preferably has built that background in the retail space. The company they will be joining is a leading supply chain company that offers a service of value to leading retailers across the nation. A strong sales background and great personality are required to be successful in this role as you will be interfacing with stakeholders on a daily basis.
-Overseeing Reusable Packaging Containers (RPCs) utilization and new commodity conversions to exceed volume budget.
-Collaborating with internal Commodity Management and client Produce Merchandising teams to implement growth plans.
-Working cross-functionally to determine when business case analysis is needed for new commodity conversions into RPCs.
-Optimizing the reverse logistics network in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations.
-Supporting change management processes to increase RPC Program awareness.
-Assisting the client in developing an accurate forecast process to optimize RPC utilization and service levels.
-Collaborating on the development and implementation of Digital cold chain tracking trials.
-Building relationships with internal stakeholders to align all aspects of the Produce RPC Program with the client.
-Maintaining a strong network across the client organization to ensure the RPC Program remains a strategic priority.
-4+ years of sales experience in Supply chain, purchasing, or logistics setting
-Client facing sales experience
-Strong experience of Supply Chain principles within Produce or Retail
-Has utilized analytical practices in prior sales role: salesforce and powerbi is utilized to pull and asses data in this role
-Bachelor's degree: Supply Chain and Logistics, Agriculture, or Business
-Retail specific sales experience
