An employer is looking for a Junior Web Developer for a remote opportunity. The client is an enterprise grocery store chain and the Junior Web Developer will have the opportunity to work on exciting web projects, learn from experienced developers and contribute to the creation of high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for web development, a strong foundation in programming and a desire to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior web developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Assist in implementing and maintaining user interfaces and web layouts.
Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback to improve your coding skills.
Work on front-end development tasks, including creating responsive web designs.
Debug and troubleshoot web application issues, working closely with the development team.
Learn and apply software design principles and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-focused features and enhancements.
Assist in the implementation of new features and functionality in existing web applications.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent coursework/experience
Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new web development technologies and tools
Basic understanding of responsive web design principles
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for software development
Attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean and maintainable code
Previous experience with web development (personal projects, coursework, internships, etc.)
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
