Insight Global is looking for a project coordinator or project controller or financial analyst for one of our enterprise utility clients. This candidate will be support IT project managers specifically focus on running the day to day financials and managing the budget. This person will be working irectly with the project managers looking at budgets, forecasts, timecards, invoices, and other financial related items. Projects are broken into two phases the demand state where budgets and forecasts are created and secondly the execution phase where the project is actually run and the budget is finalized. This coordinator will come in at the execution state and will be focused on managing the budget and not coming up with the budget. This candidate will also work with ServiceNow to extract data and put directly into excel to manipulate budgets and understand the data. Most of the projects are waterfall but the company is slowing moving towards and agile environment. Lastly, these projects will range from 100K to 150mm so the client is open to candidates who have managed budgets over 100K minimum.
5+ years of Project Coordinator/Project Controller/Financial Analyst experience specifically working with financials
Strong IT Project background including supporting financials for a specific IT project
Extensive Project financial experience, creating and tracking project budgets and analyzing project data
Heavy Excel experience to be able to manipulate data and create reports if needed
Strong experience in PM Tools
o examples (but not necessary) Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, Clarity, etc.
Strong mix of Agile/Waterfall
