Job Description

Our client is looking for an Data Scientist to join their enterprise analytics team. This person will be responsible for synthesizing data from our client's analytics tools into actionable insights about customer behavior, digital sales and servicing performance, and customer delivery. This person must be able to work alongside stakeholders and senior leadership. This person will participate in cross functional initiatives, will collaborate with teams across the organization to achieve and measure project success. This person must be able to extract and analyze data using various tools such as Python, R, and/OR SAS. This person will help create and apply automation techniques to manual processes to create efficiency and improve accuracy. This person will participate in all phases of the data and analytics lifecycle including capturing requirements, analyzing trends and patterns, and presenting data to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

- Master's degree in Comp Science, Information systems, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, OR a STEM Degree

o In Lieu of master's degree, bachelor's degree with a MINIMUM of 3 years working experience in Data Science or Analytics

- 2+ years of experience with programming languages R or Python

- 2+ years of experience with SQL programming and large database applications such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, SSPS, Teradata, and Hadoop

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:

- Programming language experience such as Java or C++ in data mining context

- Experience with BI and data mining tools such as BusinessObjects, Microstrategy, Tableau, and Tableau server, Alteryx, or SAS Enterprise Guide/Miner

- Experience building web-based applications using HTML, CSS, Perl, and JavaScript

- Experience working with web analytics tools and implementation -- Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, IBM Digital Analytics, and Webtrends
