Job Description
An employer in the Cincinnati, OH area is seeking a Manager of Finance and Support Operations for the Hospice center of a large health system. This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day financial operations for all of the hospice organization functions including palliative care and grief programs. They will be responsible for the annual operating and capital budgets, accounting, accounts payable, billing and collection, financial statement preparation and financial input into their strategic business planning process. They will be tasked with achieving budget targets through continually analyzing financial operations and identifying opportunities to increase revenue and reduce cost. In addition, their duties will include providing financial guidance and leadership to all managerial peers, as well as provide clear and timely communication of their financial position to senior management, the Board of Finance Committee, and the Board of Trustees. They will serve as a member of the hospice organizations Senior Leadership team, and not only create budgets and financial reports for grant activities, but also oversee required governmental reporting, review of tax filings, and cost reports. They will report directly to the President and CEO of the hospice organization, have around 6 managerial peers, and have 2 supervisors below them managing teams of about 10 each. One of the teams manages the Business Office and the other is in charge of Information Service functions related to the hospice organization.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
3-5 years experience managing individuals in healthcare as well as finance, accounting, or business (can be separate roles)
Experience presenting to Senior leadership, board, or executive members in regards to budgets and financials
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience as a leader in hospital finance or accounting
Knowledge of Lawson and/or Epic
MBA
Certifications related to accounting, finance, or Epic
