Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Business Intelligence Server Engineer who will be responsible for the design, operation, security, and performance of SAP Business Objects, SAS, Tableau, and other enterprise business intelligence platforms and tools. The Business Intelligence Server Engineer works collaboratively with both technical and business communities to ensure continuous improvement of business intelligence and analytical capabilities.
* Designs, implements, and administers all business intelligence tools and platforms
* Leads the installation, patching and configuration of all enterprise business intelligence and analytical software
* Performs impact assessments of propsed changes to existing business intelligence systems and integrations
* Provides technical assistance, training, and support to users of all business intelligence and analytics software
* Ensures system reliability, availability and performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, implementing backup/recovery processes, and rigorously planning and testing changes to systems
* Responds to the requests of users and project teams relating to business intelligence systems, tools, data sources, reporting products and supporting processes (e.g., access requests, code promotion, etc.)

Required Skills & Experience
* 6+ years' experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting business intelligence and analytics systems and tools
* 6+ years' experience installing, patching, and upgrading enterprise business intelligence server and client software
* 6+ years' experience developing and administering user access and content security & data models
* 6+ years' experience managing BI/ETL/metadata code repositories across multiple environments
* 6+ years' experience working with data warehouse systems and databases, various types of reporting tools and data analysis software
* Demonstrated proficiency with a least one general purpose programming or scripting language
* Experience with Windows Server operating systems; UNIX or Linux experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience administering SAP Business Objects, SAS, Tableau, and/or ActiveBatch
