Job Description

A client in the Cincinnati area is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. This candidate will provide building electric power and infrastructural design for retail, recreational, commercial, housing, government, education, medical and other markets. You will work with the design team through all aspects of the design and construction process including existing conditions assessments, development of design solutions and related contract documents, bidding and permitting, and construction administration. Projects will range in size and scope and will require both working with a team of designers, architects, and engineers and working independently.



This individual will:

* Design and develop complete electrical permit plans, diagrams and schedules for noted markets

* Design and generate electrical site plan, lighting and power distribution systems

* Generate single line diagrams, voltage drop and short circuit calculations

* Design to applicable project standards and codes

* Evaluate, select and specify appropriate electrical equipment

* Generate cost schedules and project specifications

* Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information and prepare assessment reports

Required Skills & Experience

* Minimum of 7+ years of electrical design/engineering experience

o A least 2 years of the experience in the commercial/construction space

* Minimum Associates Degree in Engineering in an ABET accredited program and a desire to obtain PE license

* Working knowledge of the NEC, NFPA and other appropriate codes and standards

* Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office suite

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

* PE license (BR/salary would be higher for a PE)
