Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to work for a large Professional Engineering firm headquartered in Cleveland, OH> The ideal candidate will be comfortable working hybrid remote (3 days onsite/2 remote) in Cleveland and will possess a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
* Collect and prepare data/information and performs detailed engineering calculations. Calculations include short circuit, voltage drop, cable/conduit/cable tray sizing, arc flash, lighting, heat trace, etc.
* Design detailed drawing packages including:
electrical one-line diagrams, installation details, bills of material, panel schedules, lighting plans, motor schematics, conduit/cable plans, field wiring diagrams, etc.
* Create specifications for various electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, etc.
* Create I/O schematics for instrumentation and control systems.
Assist in field work, checking installations, and problem-solving activities
Required Skills & Experience
* Proficient in MS Office Suite products
* 8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably within large commercial/industrial projects
* Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline) from an ABET accredited institution.
* Highly skilled in Autodesk Autocad and Navisworks applications
Strong experience in Modeling using Arc Flash Analysis, SKM software, and ETAP software
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PE license strongly preferred
