Insight Global is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer for a large healthcare organization in Cincinnati, OH. This person will be predominantly remote, however, will be expected to come into the office approximately once per month so must live in or around Cincinnati, Dayton, Louisville, or Lexington.
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will demonstrate expertise in developing ad hoc reports and lists as required leveraging business intelligence and visualization tools (including serving as a Epic Cogito Business Analyst). Develops standardized dashboards for product lines per departmental standards. Works with data engineer to determine ideal data sources and can perform data lineage investigations (especially with Epic databases). Coordinates the scheduling of reports in production. Effectively translates business user questions into data solutions. This will also include leveraging relationships and interacting with the customer base (both virtually and in-person) regularly to track business outcomes. Increase customer's knowledge of the business intelligence and analytics products provided to drive engagement and get business buy-in.
Serves as a subject matter expert in the required domain and works with cross-functional teams to identify necessary data sources and analyzes methods to address key stakeholder customer needs. Understands organization's business strategies and aligns work to achieve business goals. This includes researching and developing key performance indicators for the business. Apply the appropriate project management methodology -- Agile to meet product requirements and serves as a Scrum master for a group of product teams.
The position will also provide cross service analytical support (descriptive) in developing analytical solutions leveraging Business Intelligence tools and the Epic Cogito platform. Healthcare data expertise should be demonstrated as well.
This position will require limited supervision from the Business Intelligence Manager.
Certification Requirements - Epic Cogito Fundamentals certification and Tableau Desktop Specialist exam will be expected to be passed within 1 year of hire date if not previously acquired. Additional certifications and training will be encouraged.
4-5 years experience developing using either Tableau or PowerBI (in a hospital or healthcare setting STRONGLY preferred)
Excel and SQL skills
Knowledge of Epic Cogito
Expected to pass exams for Epic Cogito Fundamentals and Tableau Desktop Specialist within 1 year (training and exams will be paid for by employer)
Familiar with Agile
