Job Description

A large insurance client of Insight Global is looking for a local Desktop Support Technician to join their infrastructure team in Columbus, OH. The position is onsite and you will spend a lot of time out on the floor helping end users as the company returns to office. Set up desks with monitors, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and provide hands on user support for hardware/software issues. Configure workstations for new users and complete upgrades to existing equipment and software. Set up and maintain network/telecommunication systems. Utilize a ticketing system and work off of a que. Re-image computers, perform data migrations and restorations, and conduct remote problem solving on an as needed basis. A successful candidate has a working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations, and strong software experience with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently. May lead junior resources in the future.

Required Skills & Experience

* 2-5 Years of Desktop Support Experience -- Troubleshooting Hardware and Software for Desktops/Laptops

* Experience configuring workstations, setting up new users, and upgrades to software

* Experience troubleshooting LAN, Server/Connectivity Issues, and Networks

* Experience with re-imaging computers and data migrations

* Experience utilizing a ticketing system
