Job Description

Our client is seeking a mid-level Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Engineer for our Cincinnati, Ohio office to provide support on various environmental projects throughout the mid-west, predominately within Ohio. This position will support a variety of contracts, including federal, state, local, and commercial clients. Duties will include task management, field sampling and investigations, and may require extensive outdoor work as well as overnight travel.



This position will support implementation of environmental investigations within a predominant office setting, with the following general responsibilities:

* Support and manage environmental projects including Phase I and Phase II assessments; hydrogeological investigations; UST closure and corrective action investigations; and remedial actions.

* Complete field data collection activities which include soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling.

* Oversight and management of subcontractors during completion of geophysical surveys and private utility locates; drilling and installation of soil borings, monitoring wells, and soil gas probes; and excavation and other remedial activities.

* Communicate and interact with project clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

* Prepare proposal and cost estimate documents.

* Manage Tetra Tech staff and project teams as part of successful project implementation.

* Interpret analytical data using spreadsheets and databases.

* Prepare technical report deliverables, including data evaluation, interpretation, and presentation.

* Mentor and train junior level staff.

Required Skills & Experience

* BS degree in geology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or similar degree

* 2+ years experience with:

* Site investigation and sampling (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, air)

* Soil logging and characterization

* Oversight and management of drilling/excavation/utility clearing subcontractor activities

* Remedial activity experience, including soil excavations and underground storage tank removal

* 1+ years of environmental consulting experience

* Detailed oriented, organizational skills, work independently

* Customer focused, motivated, and work well in team environment

* Must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle
