Site/Location: Homebased- strongly prefer EST time zone
Will need to work with UK hours team starts early 5:30am EST the days that they meet with UK
Duration of Assignment: 1yr with possibility of extension

Project Manager - Global Finance
RELX is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. The Group serves customers in 180 countries and has offices in about 40 countries. It employs more than 33000 people of whom almost half are in North America.
Job summary:
RELX Global Finance is evolving to a structure of one process and one team where it makes sense for the way we deliver finance services to the business. The implementation of Oracle Fusion cloud finance system across the Group is a key enabler of this evolution.
The Program Manager - Global Finance will oversee all aspects of this program they will ensure the program is completed to a consistently high standard within budget that objectives are met on time. The position will deliver by working closely with all aspects of the stakeholder community including Global Finance Operations Executive Leadership Technology Sales Procurement Global Tax our External System Implementor Oracle.
Building strong effective working relationships is fundamental to the role. The Program Manager will need to manage large stakeholder groups which require careful design of training governance and communications plus extraordinary leadership and communication skills to navigate these relationships with the support of the Steering Committee.
Experience and Education:
5 years managing global process and technology led evolution programs
Good understanding of Finance operating models and core Finance processes
Experience in delivering an Oracle Fusion implementation
8 years of project management experience
Educated to degree level Bachelors or equivalent degree
Preferred but not required - project management certification
Key Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with project sponsors and other stakeholders within the business to ensure delivery of the program outcomes defined in the business case
Work seamlessly with system implementor ensuring they deliver against requirements and knowledge is transitioned effectively to the RELX team throughout the program
Manage all phases of the project through full RELX Group implementation of Fusion and the critical business process changes
Ensure the program achieves a One Process One team where it makes sense approach to delivering finance services to the RELX Group
Maintain ownership of and accountability for the project tracking and PMO activities including but not limited to:
o Overall program budgets
o Definition and management of program resource requirements
o Risks and issues management
o Project plan and changes to that plan
o Project status reporting - including schedule variances and mitigation options
o Project Governance
Build partnerships with the business process owners and the technical delivery lead to ensure mutual success
Develop excellent working relationships with all other stakeholders
Hold members of the delivery team to account for their deliverables
Ensure the implementation and adoption of strong agile development practices
Work with the Business Owners and Steering Committee to and accelerate return on investment
All other duties as assigned
Required skills and experience:
Ability to work remotely and manage across multiple geographies and time zones
Extensive experience of global transformation Programs involving critical business systems for a Global Fortune 500/FTSE company
Extensive direct experience of managing programs involving both Finance cloud ERP implementations and business process change
Highly evolved stakeholder management communication skills - ability to influence diverse and challenging senior stakeholders and communicate to them proactively concisely and clearly
Effective decision-making and leadership style based on political awareness and personal credibility
Ability to thrive in a highly complex organization where multiple dependencies exist and a shared-resource model where resource conflicts are common
Ability to motivate a diverse delivery team whilst providing clear priorities and expectations
Creative problem-solving skills related to the context of complex global change Programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Refined negotiating skills
Strong organization/project planning time management and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments
Strong delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity.
Aptitude to quickly identify risks to the program and develop mitigation plans
An ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
***About the role:
PM role will be supporting our Oracle Fusion project which is the initiative that is bringing all of our finance systems onto one platform.
They already have the technical side of the implementation and are looking for someone who has strong experience on the business process side and creation of those processes is a must. To be able to look at the big picture and set up workstreams process changes and ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This is a 15-20 person team from several different divisions working on the project. The implementation project started this year 2022
Currently working with 2 different finance systems Peoplesoft and Oracle moving to Oracle Fusion cloud finance system.
Direct experience of managing programs involving both Finance cloud ERP implementations and business process change as well as global transformation programs involving critical business systems for a Global Fortune 500/FTSE company.
