Job Description

A fast-growing, innovative company in the Cincinnati, OH area is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. This individual will be joining an exciting team that's revolutionizing the logistics industry through their development of hybrid electric engines. This engineer will support the technology development for generator technology. Responsibilities include:

-Design and development of electrical sub-systems and components for controlling innovative generator technologies.

-Work in a lab environment with hands-on support of system prototypes.

-Detailed design of electrical system schematics, wiring harnesses, electrical and control modules.

-Identification and support of strategic suppliers to complete critical component designs and procurement.

-Development of APQP materials including FMEAs and DVP&Rs.

-Demo vehicles build and development including the integration and troubleshooting of advanced electrical systems.

-Cost model development and leading cost reduction initiatives.

-Responsible for safety and material compliance requirements of electrical system components in demonstrator and commercial applications.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

-5+ years of experience in electrical systems

-Circuit/schematic and PCB design experience using tools such as Altium Designer

-Wire harness design experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience in design of automotive communication networks (for example CAN).

-High voltage energy storage and battery charging experience

-ISO 26262 functional safety experience is a plus.

- Mentor graphics, OrCAD, PSpice, LTspice, KiCAD software experience
