Job Description

An employer is looking for a Microsoft Systems Administrator for a contract to hire opportunity in the Dayton, OH area. This candidate will be joining a federal research institute that delivers innovative research and provides technology/business solutions for government services. The Microsoft Systems admin will start out on site for training and helping to build out the team, but then will transition to fully remote. They will be serving as the Tier 2 point of contact while reporting into the Tier 1 IT Administrator. Another Jr. Level, Tier 3, support administrator is also actively being brought on to the team. This candidate will be responsible for mainly deploying Microsoft Azure for a variety of clients and internal stakeholders as well as working within multiple VPNs (local to cloud infrastructure). Other responsibilities for this team will include but not be limited to: utilizing command line and automatic scripting tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Powershell and working across all major OS (linux and mac included). This is a federal client so some sort of working knowledge in the FedRAMP space is also preferred!

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years experience hands-on experience within server implementations and deployments

2+ years experience working within Microsoft Azure/AWS gov cloud

1+ years in software configuration (Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell experience)

1+ year in multiple VPN (linux, windows, mac)

Familiarity within federal space (FedRAMP)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

MSCE cert

Networking Background

Azure/ Microsoft Certifications

Experience deploying Azure

Bachelors Degree
