Job Description

Under the direction of the VP of Information Systems, the Systems Administrator is responsible for providing end-users with LAN, Internet and host-based application support, assist with the maintenance and operation of a network environment, and telecommunication support. This position will also be responsible for managing hardware and software installation projects. These projects will range from coordinating the physical move of a department to the research, documentation and installation of a software package. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for the ongoing maintenance of Telhio's hardware and software systems.



*Candidates must be comfortable working on-site 5-days per week*



- Resolve technical support requests submitted by end-users

- Assist tier-1 staff in resolving support requests

- Provide after-hours Support when scheduled

- Test and install Application Patches and Updates

- Manage and Install Windows Server and Desktop Updates

- Deploy software packages and updates to end-user pc's

- Upgrade and replace Hardware (including virtual hardware)

- Install new Business Applications

- Integrate Business Applications

- Meet with Business Units to map out requirements

- Create and Update Documentation

- Proactively monitor systems to prevent unauthorized system access or transmission of data.

- Audit systems, users and facilities to ensure that IT Security policies are being followed

- Maintain least privilege in all systems to protect against attack.

- Design and Implement processes using OnBase Workflow

- Eliminate manual processes through reliable automation

- Configure Business Applications to utilize features that improve efficiency of business processes

- Research and recommend Business Applications and modules to improve business processes

- Rotate Month-End Processing Duties with Host Administrator

Required Skills & Experience

* Microsoft Windows expertise

* Internet connectivity and Browser expertise

* Thorough understanding of business applications used by Telhio

* Broad general knowledge of IS platforms used by Telhio, including Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, and VMWare

* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS Server.

* Must be analytical with strong trouble-shooting skills

* Must be detailed oriented and be able to follow verbal and written procedures

* Ability to communicate effectively

* Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines
